  The CIty of Janesville has four different parks located throughout town.  You will find there is something here for everyone from wide open spacious pet friendly play areas, to a softball diamond, playground equipment and more!

City Park Main: 112 W Barrick Rd

Hours: 5:00am-10:00pm

Features: Play Ground Equipment, Softball Diamond, Benches/Picnic Tables, 2 Shelter Houses including grills*, Horse Shoe Pits, Basketball Court, 2 Sand Volleyball Courts, and a Boat Ramp.  Also includes plenty of pet friendly room to run and a scenic view of the Cedar River while crossing our Pedestrian Bridge.

Pauls Park : 601 Sycamore St

Hours: 5:00am-10:00pm

Features: Playground equipment, Benches/Picnic Tables, and Rock garden.

Beeson Park: 910 Main St

Hours: 5:00am-10:00pm

Features: Play Ground Equipment, Shelter House with Grill*, Benches/Picnic Tables, Scenic View of Cedar River.

Road Side Park:

Located on the West side of the Cedar River at Maple Street and Marquis Road

Hours: 5:00am-10:00pm

Features: Wide Open Grassy Area, Community Gardens.

 

All Parks are Pet Friendly. Owners required to clean up after pets.

*Large Groups or Parties are requested to fill out a Shelter House Reservation Formfor use of shelter house. Reservation of the shelter and water usage is included with your rental. 

 

Recreation

Summer Recreation Program

This program is for children from pre-school through the 5th grade. Boys and girls must reach four (4) years of age by June 1st to be eligible to participate in this summer program. A variety of activities such as, tee ball, arts and crafts, and miscellaneous games, will be scheduled for each of the different age groups. The intent of this program is to have FUN and be active! Activities will normally be held at the Barrick Road City Park. During inclement weather, activities may be held in the Janesville Elementary School Gymnasium or an alternative location, as posted.

Little League Program

Janesville boys and girls who are currently in 2nd-6th grades are eligible to participate in the City of Janesville’s Little League Softball/Baseball Programs. The intent of this program is to have FUN and to learn the fundamentals of softball and baseball, while exhibitting good sportsmanship!
